PREMILLENIALISM

Premillennialism teaches that the second coming of Christ to the earth
and the establishment of his kingdom will take place before the 1000 year
kingdom of revelation 20:1-7. The englsih term is made up of the following
latin elements: pre means "before," mille means "thousand," and annus means
"years" in relation to Christ's second coming. thus, premillennialism means that
Christ will return to earth 'before the thousand years."

Note: This was without question the view held by the early church !

AMILLENNIALISM

Amillennialism teaches that theere will be no literal, future 1000 year reign
of Christ on earth. however, most who hold this position say that a spiritual 
form of the kingdom is now present. The english is made up of the following
elements : a is from the greek and means "no." mille and annus are latin and
means "thousand" and "years." thus, amillenialism means 'no thousand years."

Postmillennialism teaches that Chirst's Kingdom is now being extended throughout
the world through the preaching of the gospel and that the  majority of people will
be converted to Christ, resulting  in the christianization of the current world's society.
                                                                      The english term is made up of the following latin elements: post means "after," mille                                                                                                                                                  means  "thousand," and annus means "years" in relation to the second coming of Christ.                                                                          thus,   postmillennialism means that Christ will return to the earth "after the thousand years."

PRETERISM:

                                                                   Preterism often goes hand in hand with postmillennialism, and holds that the bulk of the prophecies                                                                                                                                                 in Revelation were fulfilled with the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.  The preterist does believe in a final                                                                        judgment following a metaphorical millennial kingdom, but believes that all other prophecy has been
 fulfilled.  This is the “been there, done that” view of Revelation.  

Preterism has numerous flaws (and violations of Scripture):
* No future for the natiion Israel
* No future return of Christ
* No bodily resurrections
* The Earth is never destroyed by fire
* A New Hevaen & Earth began in A.D. 70
